This first shift position is responsible for cleaning and building set ups.
This position performs all duties associated with design, installation, maintenance and care of horticultural displays and collections. Performs a wide range of plant care/maintenance tasks important to the preservation, protection and transplanting of existing plants; including but not limited to soil preparation, planting, pruning, mulching, weeding, watering, fertilization, irrigation and pesticide application. Must have the ability to design, plan, organize and execute daily and seasonal activities to maintain indoor gardens and plant collections.
This position is responsible for setting up, stocking, serving and dismantling catering and or beverage service for the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park Food and Beverage Department.

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is seeking an intern for the Spring and Summer months in 2015. The intern will receive comprehensive training and directed work experience in coordinating and running a variety of events including catering, bar service, and concessions. This internship will strongly focus on the Summer Concert Amphitheater Concessions coordination and service.
Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is seeking an intern for the Spring and Summer months in 2015 to assist with planning and implementing all catering and beverage needs for band hospitality and events. Will work in office and “on the floor”; physical work is required. Will learn to use hospitality
management software; Event Master and Turbo CAD. Will assist with many different aspects of ensuring great catering and bar service to guests. Will ensure artists at FMGSP receive all requirements listed on their rider through menu planning and assisting with “day of” artist needs. Will assist department in all catering event & hospitality needs throughout the Spring and Summer.
This position will monitor activities in an interactive exhibition for kids and families titled Tranquility Zone: A Japanese Garden Environment for Families and will begin on January 26, 2015.
The Education Department is looking for a summer Education Intern who will interact with children and adults in a variety of engaging activities throughout the summer. Position starts June 2014. The intern will serve as a teacher’s aide for summer camps by preparing materials, assisting with camp activities, reading stories aloud, helping with drop-off and pick-up, helping with clean-up and doing informal evaluation. They will also help facilitate a variety of interactive activities in the Children’s Garden—discovery carts, art and music interactions, story-time, daily challenges, etc.
This position provides support through food production and distribution of products and services for the café, amphitheater concessions and catering operation.
This position will focus on assisting with Kids’ Tram activities. This position will work between 20 and 30 hours per week depending on Kids’ Tram guest volume and activity.
